Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee of St. Margaret’s coordinates fundraising and volunteer opportunities so that we might live into the command of our Lord to love others as God has loved us. The Committee is tasked to give attention to the local and larger community ministries of compassion, justice and advocacy.

The committee’s plan is to continue collecting non-perishable food as we did for the emergency food boxes. The list of needed items below is much more accessible and household items and toiletries are also needed. Collection baskets will be located in the Narthex of the church.
Volunteers are also welcome to staff the Market on distribution days, which are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 11am. Contact Michele Fuselier at 337.654.6220 for details. The committee is also working on other ways to expand the new SPIN very soon.

The Shepherd’s Market serves 35 families per day. Our focus area includes zip codes 70808, 70809, 70810 and 70820, but we serve any family in need.
