Welcome to the St. Margaret's Music Program
Experience the transformative power of music as we come together to worship, celebrate, and create at St. Margaret's. Our music ministry plays a pivotal role in enhancing the spiritual and cultural life of our community, with a focus on leading the worship music at the 10 am Sunday service and various special occasion services throughout the year.
Worship Services:
- Sunday Services: Join us every Sunday at 10 am for a worship experience where our music program fills the air with harmonious melodies, creating a spiritual atmosphere for all to enjoy.
- Special Occasion Services: Our music ministry takes center stage during special services, including Evensong, Holy Week, Advent, Christmas, and various feast days, providing a unique and memorable musical backdrop to these sacred liturgies..
St. Margaret's Choir: Our inclusive and welcoming choir is open to all who have a passion for music. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, running from September through May. Sunday morning warmups begin at 9:40 am, ensuring that we are finely tuned and ready to inspire during the 10 am service.
Summer Musicians: For those who prefer to be part of our music ministry during the summer months, the Summer Musicians group is the perfect choice. They meet at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings from June through August and continue the tradition of leading the worship music at the 10 am Sunday service.
Community Engagement: Beyond our worship services, the St. Margaret's music ministry actively participates in various local events, such as Beer & Hymns, La Mesa music events, retreat gatherings, Follies fundraisers, and more. We are also excited to explore new musical initiatives and would love to facilitate drum circles and songwriting circles in the future.
